“I from the bottom of my heart thank you and am grateful for the marvellous job you have done for the Sikh community. May god bless you for the selfless service you did for such a good cause.” Gurdeep Kaur Indian masses are now ready for a more open, direct and transparent matchmaking medium. This was evident at the first swyamvar for the Sikh community held on May 22nd, 2005 at Gurudwara Sikh Sangat.
Over 1000 prospective brides & grooms thronged the event in search of their life partners. So much was the enthusiasm that the crowds had been queuing up outside the venue gates since early morning.
The fair has been a life-turner for many. Surmeet Kaur, 23, an engineer from Delhi says "I'm so glad SimplyMarry has taken the initiative to bring such an open and modern outlook to matchmaking in our society. It is only because of the fair that I today have a chance to look and choose my life partner, and that too with the consent and approval of my parents"
The crowd was unanimous in declaring that attending the fair opened their doors to a wide spectrum of choices and was a sure-shot pathway towards finding their dream partner.
